Can I install solar in Hampstead conservation area?

Usually yes. In a conservation area the restriction in the amended Part 14 applies to equipment on a wall, balcony or roof enclosure fronting a highway, not to a roof slope, so a rear-slope array is often still permitted development. A listed dwelling is a different matter: since 27 August 2026 it falls outside Class A, so it needs planning permission as well as listed building consent. We check the address before quoting.
